Pay him off now

Douglas Hall must be in a quandary.
He knows the fans want him to resign his association with The Toon, but at what cost?
I should imagine Hall's problem is not that he doesn't want out, but that he cannot afford to.
As a major shareholder, selling his shares would inevitably drive the club's share value down - not something the club would relish, with its price pretty much on the ground floor!
This son is no chip off the old block.
The Cameron-Hall Group has not done much since Dad built the MetroCentre.
Certainly, this son has done little but enjoy the fruits of his father's success, bring disgrace to the club and belittling our local women.
I'd like the club's senior directors to get a grip, to organise a decent pay-off for his father's work and leave this sad man to live whatever kind of life he thinks appropriate.
