Mike Ashley

We are receiving quite a few questions that people would like answering regarding our club and where the new owner would like to take us. We can't gaurantee that we'll have the chance to have them answered but listing them will do no harm, you never know who is reading them

Why did you buy a football club?

Why did you buy Newcastle United, especially when he’s not from the area and other clubs could have been bought closer to home?

Did you try to buy any other football club before he tried to buy Newcastle United?

How long do you plan to be around and will you be setting a 5 and 10 year plan which will be revued and acted upon during its active life?

We’ve all heard sums of money being mentioned as being put to one side for the club, how much of an investment is planned?

What would you see as a return from his investment in NUFC?

Do you have any plans to move up here?

What ambitions do you have for the club?

What state was the club in when you arrived?

How much debt was the club carrying?

What were your perceptions of the club before you arrived and how have they changed?

Are you at the club long term?

Were/are you aware of the fans feelings towards the old board and what will you do to avoid those feelings returning but being directed towards yourselves?

The old board clearly ran out of ideas, Sir John admitted that, what will you do to avoid the same thing happening again?

Is 10 years too long to remain as a football club chairman?

You’ve already had one embarrassing visit from the police regarding events which occurred before you arrived. How can you ensure this will never happen again?

Two of our players famously fought during a game, both were allowed to play for the club again. Would you have handled this differently?

We have become accustomed to seeing trophy players arriving, could we have a trophy instead?

Have you any plans to increase the ground capacity along the lines of the plans mentioned by the last Chairman?

Would Mike Ashley ever consider selling a warehouse owned by one of his companies to his brother for £175,000 then renting it to Newcastle United for £150,000 per year on a 10 year lease(allegedly)?
